Ben 10: Protector of Earth is a Nintendo DS game based off of the children's television show Ben 10. Ben is a 10-year old boy who has the ability to turn into a handful of different alien creature types each with special abilities and powers specific to the form. Ben 10: Protector of Earth is an side-scrolling adventure game where the player fights as Ben against his robot adversaries.
For Ben 10 I was given 3D assets, from the Playstation 2 version of the game, that needed to be manipulated for use in our Nintendo DS game. I was also given control over one of the area's tilesets. From there I did quite a bit of tiling and tile reduction for both levels and tilesets.

Marvel Trading Card Game

Marvel Trading Card Game for the DS.A screencap from Marvel Trading Card Game.
1st Playable Productions, 2007
Marvel Trading Card Game for the Nintendo DS takes the existing collectible card game that uses the characters created in Marvel's comicbooks. It allows players to build a playing deck to battle against the game or human opponents. This project proved to be a bit of a challenge in regards to the comic book style cutscenes. I was able to aid in trying to find the solution to this challenge and once found I helped tile reduce the images.

GoPets: Vacation Island

GoPets: Vacation Island for the DS.A screencap from GoPets: Vacation Island.
1st Playable Productions, 2007
GoPets: Vacation Island is an extension of the online game GoPets which is found at gopetslive.com. The online game is a community game that allows a player to pick a pet, play with them, dress them, and make friends with people and their pets from around the world. GoPets: Vacation Island takes the online computer game and adds a new location for the pets to visit, new items to obtain, new games to play, and allows the player to take their online game on the go. I was given the task of designing, modeling and texturing items meant for the pets to wear.

The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause

The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause for the DS.A screencap from The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause.
1st Playable Productions, 2006
The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause is a game for the Game Boy Advance that is a companion game to th Disney movie of the same name. The player goes through this side-scrolling platformer running through different areas of the North Pole and Scott Calvin's (a.k.a. Santa Claus) suburban neighborhood trying to stop Jack Frost from ruining Christmas.
This was the first game I worked on in my internship, so this was a very big learning experience for me. I was taught the ropes of tiling, tilesets, and professional game making on the whole. I worked on making some art for a tileset, tiled levels, and reduced tiles in levels to make sure that they ran properly.
